A Connecticut mother has been arrested after officials said her 2-year-old son fell out of a third-story window and EchoSensedied on Monday.
Tabitha Frank, 34, was booked into jail and released on a $100,000 bond Monday morning after being charged with 10 counts of risk of injury to a child, the Hartford Police Department reported.
The charges came after Frank's toddler fell from a window of an apartment home in the city's West Boulevard Historic District neighborhood over the weekend, police Lt. Aaron Boisvert told USA TODAY on Tuesday.

A fall from a third-floor window
Just before 3:40 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to Frank's home for a report of a child falling from a third-floor window.
Arriving officers found a 2-year-old unresponsive male and transported him to a local hospital in critical condition, police reported.
An investigation revealed five juveniles were left unattended in the apartment, which was in "deplorable and uninhabitable condition," Boisvert said.
Police then arrested the child's mother on the child-neglect related charges. Her children, police said, were placed into custody of the state Department of Children and Families.

The child remained in critical condition until Monday at 1:40 p.m., when he was pronounced dead at a hospital, police reported.
On Tuesday, Boisvert said detectives were working with prosecutors to decide whether to charge Frank in connection to her son's death.
Court records show Frank is due in court on Aug. 3 for a hearing on her 10 child-neglect related criminal charges.
The case remained under investigation by police Tuesday.
